What is CLA?
CLA stands for conjugated linoleic acid, which is a modified omega fat. Omega fats are good for your health in general but conjugated linoleic acid also helps your body become more lean. CLA interferes with a substance in your body called lipoprotein lipase that helps store fat in your body. CLA specifically targets fat around the waist area.
How much should I take?
About 3 grams of CLA per day is optimal to increase lean body mass and lose fat. Most CLA supplements contain between .75 and 1.5 grams per pill so you would benefit most from taking 2- 4 pills a day.
