If you look at any creatine mixture it will always include creatine monohydrate. If these other creatines are so superior (as they claim) than why would they even include monohydrate? The claims they make about their creatines are that they either have better absorption rates and/or they don’t convert into creatinine (a creatine byproduct).
Creatine monohydrate has a long track history, while all of these other creatines have all been created within the last decade, or even more recently. Not only that, but many of the tests that are conducted on these creatines are run by the companies that created them. They will usually pay a university to test it as well, so they can write “university tested” on the bottle. I have personally tried every type of creatine on the market and creatine monohydrate gave me the best results.
I do, however, know many people that like the other creatine derivatives better, but my advice to you would be to try monohydrate first because its substantially less expensive than any other creatine blend. If you take creatine monohyrate and you don’t like it, or you don’t see results, then by all means go try one of the more expensive blends. My guess is that you’ll love the monohydrate and you’ll never need to spend your money on any other type of creatine.
